We are what we create. Every act of creation is an act of beauty and violence. In creating, you murder who you were, and give birth to a new you. Essentially artists are in the business of suicide and bearing children. Life is a violent, thrashing joy or it is nothing.

Justin has performed throughout the NY/NJ area, including Ramapo University, Rutgers University, The Crossroads Theatre, The Cabaret Theatre, The Bowery Poetry Club, Bar 13, The Nuyorican Cafe, The Five Points Reading, The Tank, The Urban Juke Joint reading, the Mary Benson Gallery, and countless cafes, bars, and open mics. He has also performed for the NJ NAACP. He is also a member of the Slamchops poetry education program.

Justin is also the resident DJ at the Poetic Voices open mic and poetry showcase at the Iron Monkey in Jersey City. He is available for weddings, parties, and many other events! Rates upon request.

Justin's specialty is collaborative, political, cross-disciplinary performance. He has co-written, co-directed, and performed in four spoken word theatre productions. The latest, New Street Poets, was part of the 2007 New York City Fringe Festival. Details at: www.newstreetpoets.com.
